My Ipods taken over the Comand System!!

Am I being stupid & missed something?

I have 2013 B Class with a Comand system..
I have attached my ipod using the supplied MB interface cable & all worked well for at least 6 weeks.
Suddenly for no apparent reason the following things happen..
I will be listening to the Radio and suddenly the system will switch to the ipod.. i will If you return to the radio , within 5 minutes it will switch back to the ipod..
The only way to stop it is to disconnect it..

Is there something in the Comand system that I have unwittingly change that causes this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Are You sure you haven't TA (Traffic Announcments) switched on ???

Mine occasionally does this if the cable is not plugged in properly, as when first plugged in it switches to the media interface, if it has a bad connection the connection goes in and out , and therefore will keep switching to Ipod.

Worth checking that both ipod connections are clean with no fluff in them as it can cause odd behaviour if one of the pins doesn't connect ok

Ah technology! At least tapes only chewed up and had to be pulled out in a long stream of black stuff that was often seen floating along roads.
