I had my custom rib protector made today. I have the same one as Hamilton and layed on the same table as him to get it fitted. Very painful it was too.

There are lots and lots of low cost single make series out there.
Go along to a few and speak to the drivers.
I'm sure you'll find somewhere that you're happy to spend time in.
