Hi guys
Need an advice on a car wax applied turtle wax today didn't notice any difference I thought it should be a high gloss finish
Any advice would be helpfull
Thanks in advice

What prep did you do prior to applying the wax? The end result is hugely influenced by the preparation.
Ideally, wash, clay, seal then wax. If the finish is really poor you may need to polish before sealing.

Glaze and then seal it, biggest difference for least effort...wipe on, wipe off and repeat.

I've used 3M Imperial Hand Glaze sealed with Turtle Wax Gloss Guard on top for yonks and haven't seen anything better short of a proper detail and you need to be close to appreciate it, really deep, wet look from the glaze, however crap the paint underneath may be as it hides nearly all blemishes, and the sealant makes it last for ages.

The glaze is what dealers and paintshops use to make the cars shine like new but they don't seal it so it washes off and shows how crap your paintwork really is.

Well, after numerous coats of a modern high tech polymer 'wax' (Meg's Ultimate Liquid Wax) I've reverted to my old fav Collinite 915.
The Meg's was easy to apply but just didn't give that deep wet look. The 915 is a bit more hard work but boy, does it pop! The surface now feels much slicker and the depth of shine so much better. Two coats applied this evening, will add more tomorrow :-)

The prep I did prior to wax was washing drying polishing and then waxing.

Which polish did you use?

I'd suggest changing to a "better" wax? My recommendation would be Collinite ;)

To get a finish you're after you need to polish. If buy hand something like AG srp which has fillers but will do a good job . You can then seal.

Spot on, AG SRP with AG Extra Gloss Protection on top to seal is essentially the same type of combo I use but you can get both in Halfords.

The 3M glaze does give a deeper gloss and covers scratches etc better though and I believe Black Hole sits somewhere between the two.

I'm not overly impressed with Black Hole, made minimal difference IME

You need to clay the car first to get that surface smooth, then a polish, then a wax or sealant.

i used autoglym SRP and Super gloss before, now i used SRP and collinite.

just bought some zaino stuff, so lets see how well i get on with that.

I've bought a lot of products off www.cleanyourcar.co.uk and found their products to be of top quality, they also have a great range too.

I love the Victoria Concours on the Bug, and Dodo Juice products are excellent specialy on the darker colours.

The colour of the car is black btw.

Use Swissvax that will 100% make it shine, that's what I use on my merc

I use BMW Hard Wax, excellent stuff.
It is easy to remove and after result is great.

How long the wax would protect it for? And do I need to wax every time I wash it?
Thanks

For best results, as already said, you definitely need to use Clay & a mild cutting compound first I think, then polish & wax. I use Meguires ultimate compound, applied by machine.
