I wonder whether many cars need waxing at all. Just sold a 1993 Buick
Regal that had never been waxed, went thru a commercial car wash every
month or two, looked like new.
I have been using a cleaner / glaze then, DODO Juice purple wax the finish is great but just does not last, so switched to meguirs gold liquid wax finish seems better, no residue hopefully will be better. Car has that wet look finish.
For best results, as already said, you definitely need to use Clay & a mild cutting compound first I think, then polish & wax. I use Meguires ultimate compound, applied by machine.
I have the meguirs and 3m fine yellow top and few others, the 3m does give a much better finish and worth a try, only mentioning as I spent a bit if time doing my car over the last couple of days and have so many products in my garage, I thought I would give them a try out as the weather was great.
