Peak power figures are misleading though I don't doubt the quality of the Renntech unit. Imagine if you fitted a supercharger...
It was a bare block...a 6.2 litre with nothing inside. Renntech's power figures are irrelevant, actually Renntech's 6.2 was officially rated at 460bhp. And Renntech's figures are usually optimistic.
We've essentially built a bespoke unit and the key item here is the heads....which have been modified by one of the USA's leading race engineers and flow tested to derive a 525bhp output.
Yes, a supercharger would be massive, but i prefer naturally aspirated....plus there ain't much room in the 500e engine bay....fitment of a supercharger requires major work, relative to a usual install.
Key for me is to get the RRFPR fitted with wideband o2 sensor, get it tuned right on the dyno and then get the dyno output. drivetrain loss assumption will be key, but we can do a few scenarios.
