New Door Seals - More Noise Than Before!

On Friday, I had the door seals swapped under warranty as things were getting noisy...

I now find that with the new driver and front passenger doors, they will not shut with a hefty shove.

The doors also look out of alignment, as the new seals have not been fitted correctly - well that is my assumption.

Road noise penetration is far worse than before...:(

Anyone else had this sort of experience?

As always, all advice / info appreciated.

Regards

Brian

A hard question on bad workmanship,on all doors the back edge should sit 1mm proud of the panel behind it, and so on.

Its impossible to give guidance as the door need to be seen and felt.

I would go to another MB dealer and ask their opinion

Well here's the culprit... Both new front door seals have failed!

First pics shows the passenger door - the rubber has pulled away inside and is now bulging out.

Driver's door is in a similar state...

Awaiting a call back from MB Derby, and hopefully a car out of them whilst they sort this out.

That is totally incorrect they never look like that, I cant believe it, and way out.

What have they done ???

New seals have been ordered, car is in on Thu.

Oh joy!

They have just been fitted badly.

Its not rocket science to fit them.

All sorted now!

New seals went on today, and I had a 2006 C180K Avantgarde for the day.

MB Derby - back in good books! :bannana:

Thank goodness for that, the first attempt was awful
