Hello everyone,
I'm looking for your advice please.
I have a C220 CDi auto (2004) with approx 80k on the clock.
Yellow engine management light came on and when the car warmed up it started to lose power and wouldn't rev/kick down to accelerate, plus it would be flat and no matter if my foot was flat to the floor, it wouldn't go any faster than 60-70 mph. Occasionally, the revs would hunt and start fluctuating (not much, a few hundred either way) and if it weren't an auto I would have expected perhaps a stall?
The forums I read led me to believe it was a MAF problem.
I have changed the MAF, but the engine light is still illuminated. Will the light go out on it's own once the system recognises the new MAF and that things are ok, or will I need to have it put on a Star system to read the code and have it reset?
If the MAF wasn't the problem, what might it be?
Could a full or faulty DPF be the problem?
Can anyone recommend an indie MB garage in Kent (near Sheppey?) to have a look for me?
Thank you for your time and advice.
