New member: 1st question

Firstly a 'Hi' to all as this is my first post.

I've just got a 2003 S-class with CD navigation in it which is my first MB with nav. I had a CLK Cab in 2000 but no nav on that.

I had a BMW before and was in a really useful group that dealt with nav software and nav maps.

I've looked around the web a little and think I've got some answers but this looks like a good place to get them confirmed.

So my questions are:

1) I understand my system is COMAND 2.0 which is not APS. Does APS mean Auto-Pilot System?
2) The 2.0 means 2 x DIN sockets high and isn't a version number, right?
3) It uses 'DX' CDs and I believe it won't work with non-DX CDs. Is that right?
4) It seems that 'Travel Pilot' crops up a lot when talking of DX CDs. Are all DX discs Travel Pilot?
4) I like to keep my nav system software up-to-date. How does that work on my system and is the software readily available?
5) I am travelling to France/Spain in the summer. Is there a good place to get hold of CDs for these countries? I've browsed ebay but not seen much.

One thing that I'll really miss from my BMW is the parking sensors so I was wondering about a reversing camera. Is there a way to do this on my car (it doesn't have a TV tuner)?

Your software will be up to date.... and uses dx discs only same as 2.5 which is as you say 2.5 din size high.
