Just joined the group, having bought my first MB. The car is a 15 plate E350 AMG line Premium Plus Estate. Just turned 16000 miles, had it for two weeks now, and very pleased so far. Last car was a Mondeo estate, and while I was very happy with that car in terms of comfort, reliability and running/servicing costs, the Merc is definitely a class above. I've only done about 500 miles but I'm pleasantly surprised by the fuel economy. So far just under 40mpg, while the Mondeo was low 40s.
Thinking of getting a service plan for the car. Not too well served as far as I can see by independents in my part of the country, and from what I can see in other posts the service plan has the advantage of including things like brake fluid and auto box fluid changes that you would usually expect to be charged for. Had the Mondeo serviced not too long ago and changing the auto fluid cost about £200 so can't imagine the Mercedes price would be any less.
