New member looking to buy

Hi all,

I currently own a smart 2014 Smart Fortwo 84bhp. I'm after a SLK with £10k to spend. Need advice what to look out for and what's the best to go for! Was thinking of a 280 pre 07 so I didn't have to pay more tax than I would insurance. Going through autotrader has just got me more confused than ever. I live in the north east and willing to travel so far, but a majority of SLKs that have taken my fancy within my price limit have always been far south, I'm still looking at the 200 though. I see a lot of low mileage pretty cheap which makes me wary and wonder why? Would appreciate any positive advice anyone can give, thanks

Although its a bit older than what you say you are looking for, my 230K with only 51000 on the clock is available. PM me for details if you are interested. Its a well known car on the forum.

I have an SLK 280 model year 55 with just about every option available. Before I say any more; take a look at my profile on here to verify my integrity and length of membership, take a look also at my recent posts and pictures of my SLK in the "my photos" bit in my profile and if my car is something that might fit your needs then please feel free to PM me.

Currently it is not for sale anywhere. However, there are genuine reasons that I may not be able to continue to own and drive it, nothing sinister by the way, just practicle reasons.
