New old car

Don't think he's coming back guys 👏👏👏

That looks super clean and I love the colour!
I've owned a few old cars with very very low miles, two of them were early CLK's, a 2000 and a 2001 model. One had 18k and the other 20k. From my experience, both cars looked brand new, in, out and the underside. There was no rust at all underneath and all the rubber bushes looked brand new, you could still see the coloured stripes.
A friend of mine owns a white E class just like yours but it is a very very basic model [ E200 and no Kompressor ] , cloth interior, 15 inch alloy wheels, and he showed me the original invoice and the first owner had to pay extra for the AC and the car also had the Avantgarde front grill which was also optional. The car has around 50k on the clock and this thing looks brand new! To be able to find one with 15k on the clock is just crazy and it must be one of the lowest mileage w210's that still exist!

Enjoy it and please post some more pic's :)

A friend had an S Class from the early 90s....with everything he added it was close to £100,000.....a lot of money back then......but even then the radio was an optional, paid for extra!!!

It's crazy what things were optional when ordering a car back in the day! Obviously the prices of new cars are high today but at least you don't pay extra for electric windows 😆

I remember my first Ford and the rear window demister was an extra!! ( Must have been cahoots with Michael O'Leary )

The first few car I remember my dad having had no rear demist.......probably an extra he would not pay for!

Imho one of the biggest benefits of this forum is that the "core membership" seem perfectly able to laugh at themselves, and are open to listening to & exploring other's views* and opinions.?
The www has plenty of places for braggants seeking sycophancy.
Perhaps there is an mbclub.usa that he may have found more to his liking ? 😉

*(Even if they are wrong, MJ ).

I agree that it's a good thing that established members can take the mick out of each other with impunity but when someone is new and excited about their new/old car it's quite a different thing to ridicule them for no reason. I don't see anything provocative in the OP's post, no bragging just happy with his new car.

Nice.

Spot on. But hey, no point continuing this because the OP is unlikely to come back and tbh I wouldn't blame him after the reaction he got from a few of the "core membership".

Fwiw I don't believe I (or anyone else for that matter) ridiculed the OP.

You can see that was my first post in this this thread. I personally wouldn't choose to deflate a new member's enthusiasm for their new Mercedes.,,,,

,,, However....

The point I was making was that his knee-jerk response to the first person who informed him ( factually, it would seem ?) of something that he did not like did not seem to bode well imho.?

Hth.

I really wish Id said nothing now. I sometimes forget that some sensitive little souls are not as thick skinned as me and some other members. I would delete it if I could!!.....nahh....I wouldnt!!:)
