New old merc 230k owner

Just bought a '97 c230k auto by accident really, A local guy collects cars like end of life stuff but now and again gets something good like this 230, To cut a long story short its mine, Sold my car and its my daily drive. i loved the timewarp of it, Should i have sold my modern reliable astra turbo ? For now im loving the £500 retro merc

Highly. I did ~170k combined in two W202 c230ks and they never let me down except for one evening when the cable to the starter corroded through and fell off one of them but not a common problem at all.

One had a faulty air recirc flap and coil packs, both had cracked manifolds and a little rust tucked away but they both soldiered on. I didn't intentionally get rid of either of them they were both totalled in accidents. I'd still have either of them now if it wasn't for that.
