'11 S Class S350L
Hi just wanted to say hello from a new member in Durham

Hoping this forum will assist me in my S Class ownership.

Car is a '11 S350L with all the options I really wanted (LWB, Rear Seat Heat/Electric, Pan Roof). Its immaculate inside and out and has a wealth of bills from 2022 which I'm taking as a big plus point lol

Are there any Durham owners who can suggest a local garage with experience of these? Closest MB dealership is Sunderland IIRC

Thanks guys, for £10k (with warranty) I thought it was a lovely way to get around (considering I got £8.5k for my Mitsubishi PHEV which was down to about 2/3 battery)

Its certainly got road presence, but we need longer carparking spaces in this country :D

I was in a dealership this morning picking up a part and looked at a S350d long wheel base whilst I was waiting….Jesus they are big . I would like to own one though :) .
Welcome buddy , nice car you have there !

Guys, couple of quick questions here to avoid starting new threads

1) Is there a "Workshop Manual" (CD/or PDF) that is generally used to allow diagnosing common issues (part locations etc and wiring diagrams)?
2) Is there a relatively cheap (ie not ££££ STAR system) OBD diagnostics system. I've ordered a cheapo Bafx Scan Tool for £30 just to read codes?

Was thinking like a forum member who supplies this sort of stuff rather than taking a chance on ebay

Thanks

J

A lot of people use icarsoft code readers , not sure which model would be best for your 2011 though

I use this (I have a 2011 S350L)

iCarsoft Professional Multi-System Car Diagnostic Tool MB V2.0 Compatible for Mercedes-Benz/Sprinter/Smart, ABS SRS Oil BLD INJ https://amzn.eu/d/dAgWGp0

Brill guys, one for my very sad Xmas list :D

Also the car suffers from slow/low coolant temperature and I have managed to get it booked into WMS for the warranty work so thanks again for the tip

Hi Jay, welcome to the forum. Nice looking 221 you have there.

+1 for MB Darlington. My wife’s GLC is there today for a service.
Both of our cars go there. We have always come away happy.
Use the search function on here, there are a few threads relating to them (and others).
