New S-Class W221 In North East

Welcome aboard still think the w221 is great looking car,the slow temp is normal with them, takes a few miles for heat to come through ,a small tip is always use the hand brake leaver on the right of the dash try not to use the end of stalk P ,what happens is the parking brake starts to sieze up,if not used, you don't say the mileage, the auto boxes need servicing to keep running well,I am sure you will love driving it,I love the fact that you select reverse and the near side mirror dips so you can see the rear wheel and curb, also something you might not have noticed that at speed the front drops a little to give better wind resistance.

Thank you, ah yeah i have been using the handbrake brake half the time just to keep it moving (other cars i always just let it sit on Park lol). The mileage is 119k, and luckily its just had a gearbox service, and no I never even noticed the front dropping at speed! TBH by far my fave feature is the Mercedes symbol light on the floor of each door :D

So my car went into WMB yesterday for the cold issue, and now its toasty warm with a new thermostat and temperature sensor. MPG has pretty much doubled as it was running on a cold start effectively. Big thanks to the guys there, it wasn't easy for them dealing with me, the warranty company and the garage I bought the car from, but they stayed late last night just to get it ready for me. I'd certainly use them again, but will possibly use the Darlo outfit next time just to see if getting there is any easier

Malcolm did the brake pipes on my w211 . Chopped them back to the good pipe under the covers . 2 rears and a full front pipe . Decent fella
