I really enjoyed the mustang one, what a car.

I have to agree with you on that one, was a very good one to watch. Also liked the green they painted it in.

Deffo the correct way to buy a Mustang. A complete one with the majority of interior and exterior trim---- impossible to source in the UK - so anything you buy is going to be sight unseen from the states. There's a huge aftermarket industry in the states for these cars so you can get most of the routine running gear easily and cheaply enough. Again bought from a nice warm dry climate state to minimise the dreaded tin worm- you can still get body parts but think of the cost of shipping bulky items across the pond. Bought the right model also with the 289 V8 fastback body and disc brakes. There were 6 cylinder ones with drum brakes but these don't have kudos of the performance cars. A Mustang without a V8 is not a Mustang altho I might still be tempted by a straight 6 convertible. They are easy to work on being relatively crudely made compared to a contemporary Mercedes say but makes them easy to keep running. Here's what all the fuss was about.

That SLK was pretty doggy. I was pretty amazed how cheap the parts from Dronsfield were! Would a typical punter get all that gear for only £400?

Watching a recording now. Nice Lazurite SLK32 at the start.

Thats what I was thinking, a supercharger, set of decent looking wheels with good Pirellis, headlamp and stereo. I reckon you or I would have paid nearer £1k for that lot.

Still good to see Ed in action though, his all round knowledge of so many marques is very impressive.

A bit of free advertising to sweeten the deal no doubt.

Sent from my GT-I9300 using MBClub UK

It's the second time I've heard the "OK we'll do a special deal because you're a new customer" comment on Wheeler Dealers - in fact didn't the Mustang chappie say te same?

Dronsfields bit was funny, as a regular customer I bet they would have had me for at least £1200 and thats after telling me that they definately didnt have any of it in stock.

I normally have to ring and speak to different people to actually order a part as the first one will almost certainly tell me they dont have it in stock.

Sh*t Warner BIG Bros must have been watching! Still no doubt it will reappear.;)

He's a very skilled guy indeed although I'm sure that he spends lots of time swotting up and has experts talking him through certain tasks before the cameras start to roll.

Watched wheeler dealers since Mike was skinny and I always though the same about parts, you couldn't get things for the prices he does!

That would be in black and white then?
