New Steering Wheel From Age Styling Ebay

Dave,

My previous CLK55 was a 2004 with the shift buttons as you have on your SL55... I fitted exactly the same wheel with paddles to that (from Rashmans 2007 CLK63) and it fitted fine with no issues... 10 minutes and it was fitted.
You may want to get a 2nd opinion on that as to me it looks exactly like the one i fitted, all the internals look the same and no configuration work with Star needed doing as you already have shift buttons....

Cheers Greg

Thanks Greg - mb lpool parts say no but I guess they would, but surely the other thread here with the chap swapping switches applies ?

You don't have the part number of the one you fitted do you ? (long shot)

that's because mb liverpool are not supplying it :)

Dave,

Did you end up buying the wheel you mention from AGE styling. I am thinking about buying one to replace my old wheel on my CLK55 AMG w209 10/2003. Your wheel and my wheel are exactly the same, hence the interest...

If you have a 2003 CLK55 it has buttons not the "paddles". I believe these are wired differently and therefore it isn’t a straight switch.

After the facelift (2004) it would probably be ok.

However, I have seen somewhere that someone was able to swap the innards of the buttons to the paddles which may be an option!
;)
