Today was the final straw 
. Last week log book arrives for new Polo. Looks to have been made out of recycled newspaper or something used in the smallest room. Has all the looks of a benefit claim form, covered in references to "non-bleached paper was used in production" blah blah. The accompanying bumph goes on at length about coming into line with Europe!, car crime and money laundering etc, yeah right I knew Kinnock and the E.U. would be in there somewhere. What happened to those substantial buff cardboard ones we had in the 60's 
. This weekend the tax runs out on my MB. Now I know tax discs have changed and they come in various colours with holograms and bar codes. I have seen some that looked to be gold, I have seen some which were silverish, even the Polo has a rather fetching shade of plum in its windscreen. What do I get? Barbie Doll flourescent pastelle PINK . I ask you, what I have I done in my past life to deserve this?. Ive a mind to cash the disc in, fill in a SORN, take the MB off the road for a month and start again in July. Although knowing my luck......
