Just thought I'd give myself a quick introduction on here after just joining up.

First time back to a Merc for a few years after owning a 190E and a 450SL many years ago. Went down the Porsche route afterwards, recently exchanging my TT for an 09 CLK 320 but after only owning it only for a week due to an issue with the main dealer, Ive now decided be far more sensible and Im picking up my 02 E320 CDI Avantgarde on Thursday :bannana:

I know its certainly alot different from what Ive been used to, but we are also just about to exchange contracts on what could be described as a 'smallholding' so we thought common sense should prevail and I have to say, the car Im picking up is great. Its got 146K miles, few spots of rust but only 1 owner with FMSH and even all of the MoT's carried out by Mercedes aswell.

Anyway, hopefully I shouldn't be asking too many questions on here about whats wrong with my car and look forward to my new experience.

Regards

Welcome Quigs.

Yes a 210. W210 for a saloon and S210 for an estate.

At 146k it's probably just about run in now.

Hello and Welcome. Don't know where about in Devon you are but excellent Indie in Paignton Four x garage Kemmings close 01803666690, charges £50 + vat per hr. Found him just before we moved back to Cornwall :(

Well you do learn something new everyday....didn't realise the estate was an S210. Thanks

Im in Plymouth so I was planning on using Eddie at Mercare. He always looked after my previous Mercs and also my Peugoet I still have.

I only have 1 and a half but with my new S210 purchase, it feels like I have another half acre in the back compared to what Ive been used to!

Quite so. Isn't it frustrating when you've got the punchline, but can't remember the build up?
