newbie wanting to set up phone?

I have the c200 komp 05. Just got it a few days back and it has the multifuction steering wheel....really naive on this but how do I connect my phone to the system,I think it has a mic connected in the rear view mirror. I have tried looking for some type of port in the armrest and glove compartment but cant see anything. Do i have to get something fitted from MB?if so I probably wont bother. Surely if they had the steering wheel phone stuff in place they would have had a port somewhere????

All cars have the steering controls regardless of whether the car has phone pre-wire or not.

You need to check if the car has phone pre-wire or not. If you have phone pre-wire you will have the UHI exchangeable cradle connector in the centre armrest and you can connect any of the cradles on the link below:

If you dont have phone pre-wire it can be retrofitted but it isnt cheap. The official retrofit will still require a cradle. http://www.comandonline.co.uk/Mercedes-Phone-retrofit-kit-MOST-based-cars.html

Or there is an aftermarket option the Fiscon Pro kit which works out cheaper and works exactly the same as MB phone pre-wire but wont require a cradle. http://www.comandonline.co.uk/Fiscon-Pro-Mercedes.html

Other option is upgrade to the Comand NTG2.5 unit if you want sat nav, or the MY09> NTG2.5 Audio 20 unit. Both have full bluetooth connectivity built in so no cradle is needed.

So you can link a bluetooth with M/F steering wheel? Im quite pleased with me budgie

True Unless you want to spend about £500 I saw something offered at that price. I aint that keen LOL
