E300 td tomtom sat nav in car dvd
Buying a 98 e300td 60,000. one owner, fmbsh, from a steelership, on signature, no cd player so have toyed with the idear of multi-media dvd cd in a roof mount, any one got any tips for what sytem i should go for (i have about £500) and are roof mounts ok in saloon cars,

ps i think i have a good deal please give your valuation of the car leather and auto

thanks mark

im not a 100% familair with merc dash boards but couldent you jsut remove the exiting tape deck, replace that with a motorised in dash screen with dvd (mabey a sat nav unit as well) & mount a secondry screen ont he roof or a pair of screens in the head rests

in car dvd

Cheers, the main user will be my daughter so the head rest idear is fine, but don't require a dash mounted screen poss to much of a distraction

hehe, your about to sat on a slippery slope called car audio

first thing is deide hwo much you want to spend

what do you want int he car, if the dvd was jsut for rear seats you could even do sommat as simpe as a ps2 in the boot with a screen in the head rests & headphones

tbh i would concentrait on getting a good sound so for that i would get a better head unit, personal preference but not sony, a good amp sommat liek the dls a5 3ch (2 main & one sub) good set of components up front (crystal are good compoentns for reasonable money) & then for the sub sommat liek a diamond m3 or its bigger brother the m6 ina small 1 cubic foot sealed box int he boot

then add screens
