I appreciate he sounds a few cans short but if this buyer is going through any legal action then it could cause issues?

What ? Changing spring makes the bonnet sit highter ? What a load of .....!!!

the bonnet is sitting higher as it has not been aligned properly following removal or adjustment. The hinge is adjusted behind the wing and at the hinge connection to the bonnet....either one of those or both may need adjustment ot correct.

Changing a spring on one side only is not safe either, shocks and springs should always be changed in pairs.

Talbir - I assumed the seller was talking about one of the springs that form part of the hinge mechanism.

I rang him as I said I would just before auction due to end, someone answered and said he wasn't the seller, he had "just borrowed his phone" -- huh ?
auction now ended, no bids
