Hi All,
I have been lurking about reading posts and absorbing the information offered for a few weeks.
I have now made a purchase and thank you to all for the contributions in the forum, what a great club!
Introduction…..I am in Lancashire and new to the MB marque.
Having just done seven years in Clio’s and loved the MPG but not the ride, the MB is a bit of a thirsty beast. Well around town thirsty but the motorway is much better.
Well I went for a 53 plate C220 CDi Avantgarde pre face lift.
Silver with 17” AMG alloys on her with a mod to the front skirt (wired infill); I will post some pics shortly.
What can I say compared to my French biscuit box this is a diamond.
Comfort at a level unknown, poise like royalty, power like Geoff Capes, automatic gearbox, with buttons and knobs to keep me happy forever.
The only negative was the phone system on the comand unit. Decided to install a Parrot (had them in the Clio) and am very happy with the results now.
Wow I love my Mercedes Benz and was fortunate enough to go to the MB museum in Stuttgart in September so I think a Merc will be in my garage for a long while.
Yours,
