Another question.......was asked to look at the Aged Parents PC last night - Norton AV was giving an error when trying to do a LiveUpdate.

Followed the links for support - downloaded the latest verison of LiveUpdate. Tried to install, just sits doing nothing, no activity at all.

Tried to uninstall and reinstall (following Norton's instructions) - just hangs on the install doing nothing.

Any ideas as to this? Or is it a rebuild?

If subscription time has passed (usually after a year), you will not be able to LiveUpdate. Try using Corporate Edition of NAV, there is no timescale for updating.

Or you could alway try AVG anti virus from here.

It's free for home use.
