Returned a month ago to E class ownership after two Porsche's and the running cost's associated with that marque, I have a 350cdi coupe which is gathering a considerable list of niggles and problems, folding mirrors have a mind of their own, folding seat lever or catch trim peeled of cutting daughters hand,12v socket in ashtray not working, and to top it off it now seems i have a fuel leak of some kind resulting in the auto start coughing away for an age before starting, not a great return me thinks and primarily the reason i stopped buying in the first place,it seems the reliability/build issues some say are now resolved are not!!:fail

What year is your car?

Trouble is buying 2nd hand usually entails spending x amount on it soon after. :(

I would expect to spend up to £1000 after the purchase of a used car to resolve those little niggles.

New cars can also have faults.

Touch wood almost all cars I've bought have been around three years old. By then all the teething problems and the majority of the depreciation have been dealt with. :)

A six-year old car with a few niggles. Disgraceful! What's the mileage?

48000 and is mint apart from the mentioned niggles, I'm now told by the garage it is a DPF problem, I can see a quick sale coming on
