Went to my nieces house yesterday and round the corner is a Merc restorer.

This caught my eye, bit pricy though

My dream car within reason. Otherwise the 300SL gullwing :)

That's VERY expensive.

How much of that is the car & how much is the number plate?

60/40 in favour of the plate would be my guess.

Was bought for £34125 last October.

Wonder if they'll sell the plate with the car?

Edit..plate is included!

I've seen this on the road, and I think I put it in the "seen any number plates" thread. It is lovely.

It's worth every penny of £35 - £40k, without the plate. The history is good, the mileage is a bonus, and with the plate, £45k is realistic.

There's a relatively limited market for R121s, so it may take a while to sell. That doesn't mean it's overpriced though....

My wife had a nice red one drive past her while she was out for a run the other day on a lane just round from home.
She actually noticed it enough to pass comment when she got home. I guess that means it's on the shopping list....but then a day or so later when she was killing a Mini Cooper she had to move over for a new SLK55 that was being given a real work out...The list just got longer.:D

190SL (or 300SL) has been on my shopping list for too long. :(

This post has posed some lively debate, so here is another in the same showroom.
