Number plate bulbs keep going out

On Monday warning on dash that left bulb was out, then about an hour later the right one went. replaced them last night and all was good.

Today, warning again that left was out. had a look and the bulb seemed OK I swapped it over with the right one to check and the bulb was fine. messed about with them for a bit and the left wouldn't come back on. Then when I got back in the car later it was back on again.

Has anyone else experienced this with their lights?

Dodgy or corroded holders? Intermittent wire fracture in the loom where it enters the bootlid?
