OBD socket location ??

Has anyone tried one of these on a later 16 pin W202 ?

Can anyone tell where the socket might be on my pre-facelift
1997 C-class,I assume it's the earlyier 38 pin type ?

OBD2 didn't appear on European MB until 2001 IIRC. Yours will have a 38-pin diagnostic connector in the engine bay.
