Following the infamous replacement of a well engineered Valeo rad two years ago my W211 E270 CDI is beginning to shift into limp mode again on a frequent basis e.g twice on a 200 mile round trip today.

The necessary checks inc. flush were undertaken at the time, although 40K miles on I am now experiencing similar problems. The limp mode seems to occur when Im decelerating.

The vehicle received its D service three weeks ago.

I note Ian B Walkers valued comments to GEH007 yesterday regarding the air inlet and whether this is adrift, although unsure whether this is related to my query. Do you believe its a case of simply changing the transmission fluid even though this was undertaken during the fitting of the new rad.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Your first port of call is to get it plugged in to see what has caused the limp. It maybe completely unrelated.

They do suffer with sticky turbo's. Thats where my money is.
