OEM Brake Parts

I bought standard Brembo pads and discs to replace the oem ones. I can honestly say I couldn't tell the difference. They were fractionally cheaper but that was it.

I used Pagid pads in mine from ECP, no difference in braking performance, no squealing or juddering, and hopefully will last better than the original MB pads which started to disintegrate before the wear limit was reached.

Since the likes of Pagid, Textar, ATE etc make the original pads for Mercedes there should be no difference in performance :)

Pads such as the new Textar EPAD have the added advantage of a low dust output.

I agree with the OP that the quality of brake components is critical. Last year I was tempted by the cheaper Eicher disks (fitted with Pagid pads) but I learnt my lesson. They are being replaced with ATE all round, which is what my callipers are.

So which is it Gentlemen, are Textar and Pagid OEM to Mercedes or not?

Incidentally, a set of MB original pads last 120K on the front of my S202.

I thought it varied. I had Ferodo on mine from new. Ive heard that Brembo are also used.

What is the eurocarparts forum discount code? Im tempted to get some ates from them. Thanks

Hi

Thanks for your email.

Currently we have an offer on our website, where all items have a discount of upto 50%, pre-applied to them online. During this time, the club discounts are suspended (as the discount is already applied, and can therefore be MORE than 25%)

In case you find an item that has LESS than the club discount (25%) please feel free to drop us an email with the part numbers, and we will override the price, to match it.

This way, members with a club discount will always pay the club price (-25%) or less!

I hope that helps,
