Oil pressure, W126 300SE

Hi, I've noticed recently that the oil pressure in my W126 300SE sits and just under the 3 line, but as it gets warmer, after about 15 minutes of driving it reached the full 3 line. Is this a problem?

At idle it's at about 1.5.

I use castrol 10W40 and an MB filter.

Sounds fine to me. What normally worries people is the pressure drop at idle when the oil is warm but again this is OK as long as the pressure rises with the revs. You are using the correct 10w40 semi-synthetic oil grade for that vintage of engine by the way. I would change oil +filter every 6,000 miles.

Thanks grober, it's been less than 5k since my last oil+filter change, but it was a while ago, so I think I'll do one this week. Can't hurt!
