One of my passengers managed to drop a bit of their KFC Twister while eating in the car (after being warned!) and it has managed to leave oily stains on the seat - I imagine from the mayonaise. I have given it a good couple times over with a wet cloth but this doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Any suggestions ?

Thanks

Any decent upholstery cleaner should do the trick, one of the foaming ones in an aerosol.....

If the passenger has made a habit of eating Unlucky Fried Kitten Twisters then the oily stains could be from him (her?) rather than the nourishing snack.

Stratman, ill be sure to check them for leaks next time ;)

Thanks Mambo, ill give it a try ! Must have not turned the brain on properly today as I should have thought of that.

The stain shoukdl come out - chewing gum is the worse...

Use ice on chewing gum. It goes hard and breaks off easily.

I used egg white, worked a treat. Just have to make sure you rinse it ALL off

Warm heated iron is very good to, followed by using washing detergent after -just use scourer on the iron to remove the muck of after. Worked perfect on the cloth seat of my Sprinter not that long ago.

Just a heads up for anyone thinking about using a upholstery foam cleaner thing on cloth seats... DONT. Worked great on a test spot but when I did the main bit it left a nasty wet patch when dry (does actually look like a passenger leaked  ) even when ventilated well and as a last ditch effort seat heaters turned on and then attempted again in this great weather under direct sun but still the same. Now to find a local carpet cleaner with one of those wet vac cleaning machines to re-do the seat.
