Old boy had a bump in the wagon today

But hitting a parked car is somehow the fault of the 'parkee' is beyond parody.

Mrs Ted was a nurse at a small country hospital (shipston on stour)
One Sunday she parked in a space reserved for doctors as there were no doctors on a Sunday.
One of the staff scraped along her car and said it was Mrs Ted’s fault because she shouldn’t have parked in a doctor’s bay.

My broker said we may have been insured by the same company as him , it did not affect the NCB or next premium so we left it at that . But hitting a parked car is somehow the fault of the 'parkee' is beyond parody.
Many moons ago I got rear-ended on my motorbike while sat at a junction, the 3rd party insurers genuinely tried to claim I backed into their client at 20mph.

I once had a traffic accident in Saudi Arabia - I braked hard because someone was pushing a wheelbarrow across a three lane dual carriageway (80 kph speed limit), and the car behind me didn't want to brake. My car was badly bent - I had to climb out through the sunroof. Luckily someone else from my company was passing, and I had a tow truck and an interpreter there before the police arrived - I was working for the Toyota importer, and it was about 200 yards from one of our dealerships. As was the custom, I was taken to the local traffic lock up while the police tried to work out whose fault it was. At one point it was suggested that the accident must be my fault, because I was a non-muslim and therefore shouldn't really be in the country!

Faultless logic. I hope they don't have real responsibility in their NHS role
