Driving along a dual carriageway yesterday I came across a tractor towing a loaded straw trailer at a roundabout.
I was in the outside lane so proceeded to make way to pass the tractor when an old boy in a Peugeot 205 drifted over into my lane to pass the tractor.
As we nearly had a collision I tooted him with a brief toot, so he stuck the V's up at me...:D

Just for fun as I passed him I acknowledged his gesture with one of my own, so he gave me another... LOL..

nothing wrong with his eyes, just his mirrors...:D

Nice altercation. Still, he's got his own problems. he's in a 205 Pug. :wallbash:

Wearing glasses I often take mine off and wave them at the offender (and before anyone points it out yes that means I'm driving with un-corrected vision).

It has crossed my mind in the past to carry and old pair and a opticians card.

Its not just the old. I was buying petrol at my local garage yesterday. The car in front starts to move off, but backwards. I think no eye contact, looking ahead, they think they are going forward.

I give a brief and friendly tootle on my horn, which stops them. I do get several dirty looks. And their reverse lights flashing as they seek an appropriate gear, which ends up again in reverse, another tootle, more dirty looks.

Followed by 1st, revs and a sporty take off, regretfully clipping the pump island rather heavily.

So, If you drive a Y reg Micra and have lost the two O/S hub caps, are a slightly orangey 24 year(+/- 5 years) female and bought petrol in Egremont yesterday, don't but a car with alloy wheels.

I thought this was another post on growing old.

I was about to tell the tale of going to my GP for a low dose of Viagra.

The Doctor asked me what I meant and I said I only wanted sufficient make it hard enough to stop me weeing on my slippers

How did you "nearly have a collision"? Did you have to brake/swerve sharply to avoid him?

Making the roads a safer place one gesture at a time, eh? :dk:
