A Very Classy and Impressive advert Olly well done, it does you credit.

It was sort of based on a MB ad at first but I had to change it a bit so i did not upset anyone.

The picture is of my 202 with a 204 badge.

technically, you are infringing MB trademarks and copyright by using the logos at the bottom of the page ...

if MB asks you to remove them, you will have to.

it's not as clear cut on the picture ..

you can argue that it's a picture of a gleaming bonnet with a star that happens to be on it.

also the picture of a star does not give the same impression as a logo (the latter implies that MB somehow approves Olly's business).

having said all that, MBUK probably won't do much about it.

if you remove the logos if they ask you, they probably won't be asking for money (damages)

I do a few Porsche. Nofrmally for the local people and people that have MB's and Porkas.

MB are quite litigous in this respect also. You certainly can't use the word Mercedes anywhere in your company name.

I remember asking a guy where all the original AMG molds and tooling went when they ceased production. Some of these items were produced by outside contractors and MB would send lawyers around to personally witness the destruction of the tooling and molds and refused to sell them on under any form of licence arrangement.

Terrible shame, can you imagine the worldwide market for original (pre Mercedes) amg parts.....

You can claim incidental rights with respect to the Star on the bonnet.
