I would turn the logos section into a sentence e.g.

"Servicing for the following marques: -
[logos]
These logos are trademarks of [insert co names here] their usage does not imply any affiliation or endorsement and is strictly for narrative/illustrative purposes only."

You'd still have to remove them is asked but it should limit your liability if any.

Its a good advert.

The magazine should have alerted you to the copyright stuff. We dont/wont/cant use any Mercedes logo. The use of the word Mercedes itself is a difficult one to enforce because its also a girls name and Mercedes themselves cant deny that one!

I think as your advert has a very prominent Mercedes bonnet star its likely to upset them whereas if you have a couple or more cars in a bigger picture then you would probably be okay as the star isnt the most prominent feature of the picture. Just my opinion.
