Hi all,

I have a little problem with my 97 facelift W202 C230K Sport. The rear near side window doesnt work, no clicks no nothing when I push either centre console button or the door button.

I am not overly worried about the window not working as the air con is ice cold, however I cannot get the one touch up to work on any other window, one touch down is fine though.

So my question is, should my car do one touch up, the handbook states it should, handbook says to hold the button down for 1 second when the window is fully up, which I have tried, also tried holding the button for longer but still no joy, I was just wondering if anyone might be able to throw some light on the subject.

Cheers,
Stu

handbook says to hold the button down for 1 second when the window is fully up, .............

holding the switch in the first position of course, not the full push into the second position. are you familiar with the two stage nature of the window switches? i ask because this is a fairly common oversight. good luck.

Yep know there are two switch positions, as I used to own a W203, however didnt think about programming it holding the switch in the first position only  My flawed logic thought that as you need to press the button to the 2nd position to do the one touch up means programming it with the switch in the second position.

Thanks for the tip, I shall try it later!
