My CLK 1999 hasn't been in use for months. I put a new battery in yesterday and tried to start. All lights on dashboard were bright and just a click from the starter. Just as bright when I turned the ignition switch.
This winter I had some moisture on the rear shelf and the speakers stopped working. The heater fan stopped working and could not evacuate the moisture from the ice inside rear window.
It started after that, but at after some time it would stick in "P".
(I got a tip that this could be the brakelight switch)
What are the likely causes of no start?
