Optional Interior Lighting Package Question

Hi All,

Appreciate if someone could confirm this for me:

Underneath the rear view mirror the map reading lights double up as ambient lighting when you have the optional lighting pack right? But do they both work in this way or just the drivers side one?

In mine only the drivers one works in this way so just looking for confirmation that this is correct before going to see the experts.

By the way, it costs £527.95 for a new rear view mirror ... Think the person that wrote Mercedes price list either had 'sticky keys' turned on on their laptop or they must have been smoking something that they shouldn't ...

Cheers for any help.

Bump and plea for some kind soul to check this out for me please on their car.

Unsure if optional lighting packs differ much but mine is C Coupe, 62 plate and this issue is bugging the hell outta me at the moment :)

Cheers all.

This is certainly the case in the 2014 E class. works though!

Many thanks for checking this for me but just so that I am 100% sure are you saying that both driver and passenger light bulbs under your driver mirror show as a low glow orange as part or the optional lighting pack but also both work as brighter lights as map lights when switched on with the relevant switches?

Ie both driver and passenger lights have duel function?

Appreciate any further help you can give in this.
