Using H7 Nightbreaker Unlimited they are pretty good. Definitely try get them from decent seller, (Amazon are around £15), not as 'white' as my old ultra power bulbs but light output a lot better. Whiter than standard OEM bulbs too.

I don't think there's a legal issue relating to Watts rating - why would the DVLA or MoT be concerned with your car's power consumption?

If there is an issue with the amount of light car bulbs emit, it would be related to the bulb's Lumens output, not Wattage.

For example, standard 35W HIDs are much brighter that 55W Halogens.

Then I have no idea why they are stated for use off road or show use only?
