Paint work not matching....

Will be washing the car tomorrow as it is filfty now with the rain so that it is presentable and have also drafted a formal letter that I will be handing over to the body shop on monday.

Been to body shop and they have agreed to rectify the paint mis match plus other defects that I have pointed out. Lets see what happens. Booked car in next week.

well done... hope it works out for you.. I am often shocked at the quality of these insurance approved places... they work on volume and the supposition that all of their clients are teenage girls that are happy as long as paint is actually applied to the car.

I am having to have the whole of my R107 resprayed... new paint just didnt go with old...

Car is back at body shop - lets wait and see what the a$$holes do this time...

As DM says legally your contract is with the insurance company and not the repairer so you will have to follow their complaints procedure, if you are getting no joy go straight to the insurance ombudsman as sometimes insurance companies are so lazy they will just pay the repairer without checking that the customer is actually satisfied. That said there is nothing stopping you going and having it out with the bodyshop manager yourself and trying to get a resolution. On the technical front even with several shades of 744 brilliant silver with the technology and techniques available now there is no excuse for not having a perfect match but the items that were sprayed would need to be blended in to the surrounding panels so they dont stand out. Keep on at them until they put it right to your satisfaction

Cheers mate.

I want to give her a good polish on Sunday if the weather holds out.
