Pair of W123 Retro alloys

I never did like the W123 alloys - prefer the chrome hubcaps to those myself, far mor class.

Sorry, but I can't help not agreeing with 'Sp!ke', 'Jaymanek' or 'esox'.

They look great on the 'proper' model Mercedes.

And by the way, those 'chrome' hubcaps you are refering to are actually 'pollished' stainless steel. ;)

Ciao.
:)

I'm with MangoMan - on W126s and R107s and W123s they look stunning IF the alloys themselves and car are immaculate!

I agree, the colour coded hub caps are great but this style of wheel really is fantastic on the W123 and W116...

W116 is a beautiful classic car and those alloys really suit it...

nahhh... the hub caps rule..

Cheap "NO COST" option on the early Mercs on base spec cars :p

At the time these alloys were the only alloy design available on the Mercs for the R107, W126,W123. Also, the cars with these alloys came as standard with an identical matching alloy wheel opposed to a chap steel wheel. In 1985 the alloy wheel was dis-continued when the W126 received a face lift and the W123 had ceased production and was replaced with the W124. The 12 spoke/piece alloys that replaced these alloys actually look similar to hub caps.

Hubs still look better;)

Cost has nothing to do with it 20 odd years on.

Excactly, today the hubs look better than those ugly things... But then certain modern alloys suit w123's much better...
