2000 202 est
I am trying to find a instrument cluster for my 2000 202 auto est (new ones from the stealers are £850 ish) so to the breakers or Ebay.
I understand the part no A202 540, mine is followed by 96 48 012 what do these last groups mean? I assume one is for auto.Does anyone have any idea or a web site that will tell me?
Have tried a2025409647 but this whilst it works is not really compatable no auto read out next to the clock.

I guess auto-read-out means showing the P/N/R/D/1/2/3 from the auto box.

The part numbers don't tell you anything about what features the part has.

You have to look at EPCnet to find out what parts are what, and what is replaced by what to see other compatible parts.

Using 'used' clusters is problematic because of the mileage display.

PS, what was the part number of the old cluster.

The symbol strips (which have all the lights on them) are transferable

It also may just need coding to tell it its in an Auto car (if the display is physically present but not turning on. There are different clusters for different model years also

Hi,
The gear display will be because it has the tiptronic option.
You will find this sort of cluster very hard if not impossible to source second hand as it was only in the last few months of production of the W202 that tip was an option.
What is wrong with your original cluster?
