I have two PC's and was wondering if it was worth stripping any bits out of it to sell. DDR and DDR2 will go on eBay but what about PSU etc?

To be honest, brand new bits with a guarantee are so cheap that unless you have desireable, hard to find parts it's not worth it.

I just upgraded bits of mine and had a 500W 4 year old PSU left over -

Its still only £12 on Ebuyer but someone paid £7 inc postage for it:bannana:

It costs 10p, its worth 5 mintus of your time just to clear it out if nothing else

PS old RAM is scare these days - you'll be amazed at what goes

( I got rid of a graphics card, - not top end - a PSU, a CPU and Fan, monitor and didn't give them away..)

Sold a 400w and 550w PSU, WinTV card and an internal card reader so far. The bits that didn't sell will go for recycling.

DDR and DDR2 together with a graphics card next.

One of the PSU's I sold is faulty apparently. I received an email saying so but less than 24 hours later the buyer started a dispute with eBay. Not being given the chance to respond first I'm not going to be very sympathetic. I've offered a partial refund subject to the return and testing of the unit and if it is faulty I will refund the rest.

Had another message this morning saying they weren't happy about having to pay over £5 postage so I responded with the fact that starting a disupute before a resolution was reached doesn't make me inclined to offer a refund and they can go and practice self fornication.:wallbash:

I've never had such an aggressive buyer before and have always resolved any problems with sold items without them having recourse to dispute. Why the hell would someone be so bloody obnoxious?
