????? That must have been scary for her. It seems hard to imgine that its even possible to do such a thing. At least she is OK.
I imagine that news reports such as this will raise another round of "get old people off the road" campainers shouting.

Yehh... I used to shout that sort of thing. But as you get older..... you realise that you need the car more and more to stay mobile.
I would support mandatory age related driving tests ('cos I'm sure to pass ) but a blanket age driving ban wouldn't get my vote anymore.

Another good reason why a retest should be compulsory every year when you get over 70. If you study the stats there are as many accidents caused from over 65's as there are from under 21, and they go on about experience! Give me a 17 year old driver any day rather than a 70 year old.
