In my experience it's very much past history.

I suspect we can find plenty of examples where people who own all sorts of Mercedes variants have said slightly silly things.

Take views on the price of seats for example .......

Given the way Recaro pricing is going, it won't be long before they cost the same as a used C63. They've gone up 100% over the last 5 years

Not at all.Although I was told by a member that his number plate was worth more than my car guess what,he was an AMG owner

I did not see the aforementioned seats, but....:

My 1982 Astra SR came with Recaro seats.

Both my 1987 and 2001 Omegas came with Recaro seats.

I have seen Recaro seats on Airbus planes.

The asteroid landing vehicle in the 1998 film 'Armageddon' was equipped with Recaro seats (clearly sponsorship).

None were cream leather though.

Do I qualify...?

I don't want an AMG as my only car at the moment even though I could afford one ...

... but if I annoy my wife as much as I annoy a few members here I may find myself single again and then I'll get an SL55 if I have any money left from the divorce.

Oh come on, now you really are being ridiculous. There's no way you should put mint in Tesco Sicilian red. That would be like having Emerald Green leather in a Jupiter Red A200 CDI AMG!
