I'm on holiday at the moment in northern Greece (Halkidiki) and at the petrol station opposite the taverna where I am sitting petrol is €1.73 (they sting you in tourist areas) but if you shop around it can be found at around €1.63 it seems to be rising here on a weekly basis.
Last year when we were living over here heating oil (red diesel) was €0.65 per litre, it's rumoured to be rising to €1.38 the same price as regular motoring diesel this winter.
With an avarage wage of around €500-€700 per month Greeks are suffering.
