Useful article. You don't need a digital thermometer
IMHO,just measure the total oil you drain then warm
up the engine by driving and then do the final check with
the special dipstick.The main thing is not to overfill,I found the
box still works(but not optimally) even with 1 litre short.

You need to add the following to the website article:

722.6 transmissions after 1999 no longer fitted the drain plug on the torque convertor.

The oil filter has a plastic spigot on the end opposite the oil feed tube, this should be located into a small machined slot in the aluminium base casting otherwise the pan may not fit on correctly. It's worth checking the location of this slot before installing the filter.
