Yes. of course, but when they get personal or silly, it turns the forum into those like the BBC 606ers or Autocar forum - where everyone flames everyone for nothing!! The thing I've always loved about this forum and why I'd like to meet some guys at a GTG is the respect and friendliness shown, often with humour, which is great. but some of the digs here have been a bit near the mark and not great for the atmosphere of the group, IMO...

Anyway, just my view - think I'll shut up and go to bed! LOL!!!

I think he was lacking in judgement by describing the full trip to jersey! Personally I would have just mentioned the driving IN Jersey bit and left out the rest!!!

Exactly.

If he'd said, took the cabrio to Jersey for a weekend and here are some pics, fine, would have got thanks and could have just been a normal thread.

However some people do like attention...
