Pillar post trim

Sorry for the OT, but it seems the OP has sorted the issue out: What issues surrounding PPF?

Someone on another forum mentioned about me needing to inform my insurance because there is a PPF section in front of each rear wheel arch on my Alfa Mito, but then another confirmed it was factory fit and not necessary to inform them.
Use the Forum search and look for PPF, then be prepared to sit down.😂

Thanks. I found a 7 page thread from earlier this year. Looks like the same posters on another forum as someone on there mentioned about my PPF on my runabout Mito. However, the big difference it that we discovered it is factory fit, though only on certain cars/colours (red for sure, possibly others). Mine is just a small section in front of each rear wheel arch. One side is slightly scuffed, so I was going to attempt to DA polish it. Worst case I'll remove completely, but otherwise I'll leave it on as it's not a modification and in theory adds protection to a vulnerable area.

EDIT: I wonder if removing it when factory fitted is also considered a modification?:D

If it gets an insurance company out of a claim, probably. 🙄🤣
