Pointed star bonnet emblem

Hello forum friends...

My 2015 E350 has a flat bonnet badge in the 44mm bonnet recess. I want to replace it with an upright bonnet star. The current flat badge is held tight beneath the bonnet by a spring clip which is dead easy to squeeze together and lift the badge out. Does anyone know where I can purchase a bonnet star for the W212 model? Thanks in advance.

They are around £40 from a main dealer My replacement cost £38 18 months ago.

Yep, mine's an elegance, so had it as standard along with the elegance grille, but it's removable with a pair of pliers. Your badge will come off leaving a hole with two cut outs either side and the emblem will go in the same way.

You need to change the grille too though if you've got the big star in the grille. A star in the grille and one stuck up in the air looks hideous.

Hmm hadn't thought about that, yes it has the big star grill.
Maybe not then, do really like the stand up badge though,

I bought one for my E Class a couple of weeks ago from this link

It was perfect and i had it changed over from the badge in about 3 minutes.

I did consider that I now have 2 stars on the front but decided I could only see 1 from the drivers seat and I do like the look down out along the bonnet.
